Nappa Leather
At Tanjore, we believe quality starts with what you can’t fake—exceptional materials. That’s why we choose premium Nappa leather, sourced exclusively from Gold-rated tanneries accredited by the Leather Working Group (LWG). It’s not just about luxurious feel; it’s about responsible sourcing too.
We work with full-grain leather—the strongest, most authentic layer of the hide—chosen for its durability, natural character, and minimal processing. Only the finest, blemish-free sections make the cut, ensuring our pieces hold their shape and age beautifully over time. It’s the most premium part of the hide—and yes, often the most costly—but it’s worth it to deliver products that stand the test of time.

India is renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship, known as Karigari. Our products epitomise this fine art, meticulously crafted in Dharavi, Mumbai. To uphold the highest standards of quality and attention to detail, we minimise the number of artisans working on each piece. This means that each product is expertly crafted from start to finish by a single dedicated Karigar.
